Last time I went in Barnes and Noble (about a year ago) there was so little in there anyway. It might as well be a kids bookstore with some anime and woman's books in it. Sad state of affairs.
Side note, I'm familiar with Sowell and seen a lot about him online, but I've never read any of his books. What's a good first one?
His trilogy- race and culture, migrations and cultures, and conquests and cultures are a more poignant guns, germs, and steel. If you want a soft intro do discrimination and disparities or black rednecks and white liberals.
The ones Ahaus is recommending are quite good. But you basically can't go wrong. I started with Basic Economics, having heard nothing about him prior, and being very impressed by it despite not always agreeing (I'm more to the left economically than Sowell).
Entire collection of Foucault on display, and I couldn’t even find a replacement hardcover for conquests and cultures
