I can't remember who made the old WRC games, but I know they won't be better with EA.
I tried NFS Unbound recently. Holy shit is that a bad game. I couldn't get away from the awful angsty teen story for so long I gave up. I go back and play the latest Most Wanted from 10ish years ago. Wow, it wanted me to drive around and have fun with cars. How far things have fallen.
They're made by Kylotonn, a small French studio that will probably fold now they lost this license. WRC Generations is free on Amazon Luna streaming right now, for Prime members, if anyone wants to give it a shot.
Unbound is truly awful. People say it didn't sell well because of the cartoonish style? No, it was the cringeworthy story (even for a NFS game) and the poor driving mechanics.
Most Wanted 2012 is near unanimously hated because it's just a reskin of Burnout Paradise, but I honestly think it's better than everything they crapped out after.

Maybe The Crew Motorfest will be good.
