This is almost certainly one of the reasons why they had to change it. Can't be making the gays look bad. Which for once they have a point, as data has shown over and over that man on man DV is the lowest of all the types.
I do like how they have to thrown in the "real" female number after each male one, just to make sure you know women totally get double to triple the level of threat. Can't even let men be victims in literal statements about how they can still be victims.
I'm legit surprised they even acknowledged that men barely report their own victimization to begin with, that's almost commendable because it undermines the entire previous paragraph.
Especially as I'd wager the UK isn't any better than the US when it comes to literal legal definitions preventing men from being the victims of these types of crimes. Such as "she is crying and you are larger, clearly you are the one attacking here" unless you are openly bleeding when they arrive to show she attacked you. And that still being a stretch.

They got it at least half right. Most abuse happens within same-sex (lesbian) relationships.
