My biggest red pill on immigration and race was watching some home movies from the late 80s/early 90s. The demographics of my home town as seen in those tapes was very different than it is today. And even different than what I remember from my late teens.
The neighborhood I grew up in became "diverse", and then I spent most of my 20s living in a "diverse" neighborhood because it was all I could afford. Where I live now is decidedly non-diverse, and it's really nice to just be able to (eg.) know your neighbors all speak English.
I felt the same way after finding some old-ass VHS home tapes. Had a birthday party in the mall (they section off the play area for private events if you forked over the money). Was like "this would never be made in current_year".
Most of the kids were huwhite supremes, and 99% of the randoms walking around that you could see in frame were just as supreme. Families, kids, senior citizens, etc all enjoying a nice saturday afternoon casually consoooming.
Completely different these days and nobody really likes going to that mall anymore because of it.
