Yes there is in fact a ton of shallow water in any inlet like the Edgartown Great Pond because the shore is shallower than the middle and there is more shore than middle because of how geometry works. I assure you that there is water over 8 feet deep in the middle.
They keep saying it was a depth of eight feet but they brought up the survey data for that body of water and it claims an average depth of 3 feet.
So..either he found a bigass hole somewhere to drown in or that average includes a TON of shallow area.
