Its because Tiktok has a "culture" that encourages the most vapid and empty repetitive memes.

Once it became popular for a "pretty" girl to just upload a video of herself moving her eyes or maybe pointing randomly while words on the screen went by, that was the full mask off of the level of effort they want to put in.
