Racism against American east-asians is the 2nd most acceptable as a result of their success, and the need to keep them down to promote other races in their sted. japanese, korean, chinese, indian, or phillopino hatred exists, and is particularly prevalent among American blacks, but it is not permissible in public, by public officials.
If a member of the Congressional Black Caucus said to a reporter after the Harvard ruling: "I don't give a shit what those slants want", he'd still be in hot water. If he said, "I don't give a shit what those mayos want", he'd be lauded by the press, or the media would claim his "frustration is a rational response to the oppression of the extremist court".
