I think more-so it's another case of antibiotic resistance due to regularly treating a disease that shouldn't be rampant to begin with if people were a little more responsible.

And the bandaid solution is to start employing weaker alternative antibiotics to treat it. Which of course is just going to lead to widened antibiotic resistance in the long run. And/or a wider spread of the disease, since it seems like the proposed plan is to emphasize the alternative, piss-ass useless antibiotic as the main treatment regiment, so that the normal, effective kinds can be reserved for more serious cases.
