I've been lurking here for a long time. Probably about as long as you, given our similar account ages.At this point I can almost feel the change when he's banned; the site just feels lesser. Then I go and check and yep, he's banned. Usually for several days at that point.
At no point in my years lurking here have I felt like he's making the place worse. Quite the opposite, despite disagreeing with much of what he says. r14 already keeps him in check well enough, and anyone who can't stand his measly 5 posts per day can just block him.
This is including his time on KIA2 back on reddit as well, where he was at his most "I need to help wake people up" innocent phase. He, among a few others, back then and the early days here had to be told directly to stop posting because of the clog and its why the rule was introduced in the first place.
I do think he is making the place worse, but not from a technical standpoint, just pure ideological. Because I've spent longer than he has been alive working at anti-feminism and misogyny, and he is actively making the cause worse by coming across as a histrionic lunatic and making actual points disagreeable simply because he said them.
He is a funny little ha ha retard man, but people only make exceptions for him because of his mascot notoriety. No one is whining about guys like DrJester disappearing or being banned, despite them being just as vocal and everywhere during their time.
Regardless, I don't think he should be banned no matter my thoughts and the rules are mostly retarded. I just don't think he makes anything better either.
I don't think I ever remember seeing him on r/KiA2. Though there was a long time it was locked down and I was locked out of it, being the serial lurker that I am. But there was also a lot more people there than here, so it's not as easy to notice one or two people.
I think the thing that bugs me in regards to Imp is that while he's banned I see people saying things he would, except they don't get serial downvoted or banned for them. He's got his own little hate-club. And maybe I just wasn't paying attention, but I don't recall anyone else being so polarizing. Here, anyway. I'm very out of the loop on whatever goes on at reddit.
I think his presence makes things better simply because he posts things I wouldn't otherwise see or know about. Hell, that's the reason I've been lurking in KiA2 since the great split; there's all sorts of differing opinions and topics that we can all be mostly civil about. This community is great, and that includes the retards.

By the time KIA2 got off the ground, he was banned off reddit entirely. It was only a short while if I recall that he got to hang around before being hammered. I remember it clearly, because he was a lot more stable and coherent back then. He actually asked me in genuine concern how I dealt with the same battles he was dealing with and what he could do to better deal with it.
Its why despite my misgivings with him, I have no real ill will towards him. He is really a younger me, but with the internet as a megaphone instead of living in a tech-less swamp. Which has made him significantly more unstable and unhinged trying to deal with it.
He's got his own little hate-club.
Its because he is unlikable. He is openly hypocritical, arrogant, and constantly trying to derail unrelated topics to his agenda. Simply having a conversation with him most days is a chore, and not even fun to argue with.
This has unfortunately led to him getting his own hate followers from a few other subs that downvote him here too. While he could get the hate entirely on his own organically from people here, there is a little to his paranoid delusions of ConPro types downvoting everything he posts in an instant.
Like, these aren't inherent problems that make him incompatible with existing here. I post hateful shit about women all the time with almost no issue and rarely even any disagreement. He simply doesn't care about trying to be civil or have a conversation. He treats this place as his own little soapbox to try and recruit people to hate with him. He'd be a shill if he was getting paid.
I think the thing that bugs me in regards to Imp is that while he's banned I see people saying things he would, except they don't get serial downvoted or banned for them.
That's because those other people actually contribute something and are capable of coherent discussion, whereas imp has only the singular sperg post of "women bad" and he posts it in literally every single thread he participates in without exception.

He is unwelcome noise.
