Some audio interviews have recently come out from Mercedes Carrera who had their house raided and has been jailed with bail set around $2 million dollars since Februrary 2019 under allegations of child abuse. There are claims this stems form a custody dispute between her kid's father along with some strange connections to other people and her 2nd husband is the head of the local hospital.

It STILL hasn't gone through court?? (As I'm assuming if bail is still set it means there hasn't been a trial and decision)
This is some major fuckery if that's the case, the fact we are at year 4 and there's no resolution, it's looking less like a child custody with possible abuse trial and more a Britney Spears using the courts to usurp someone's ability to live kind of deal.
One of the most important laws in this country guarantees the right to a speedy trial but we don't really pay attention to that kind of thing anymore.
Considering how slowly they moved pre-pandemic, then the response to it, I'm not sure who's getting tried for anything now.
At every pre trial hearing it kept getting delayed. In the interview she says she was wanting a trial to go forward but it was either her or her partners public defender stalling.
