if you look at my post history you know that I'm no fan of troons. pretty much everyone you meet who claims to be """transgender""" is either doing it for clout, fulfillment of a sexual fetish, or were relentlessly bullied into it by their school teachers and their friends.
all that being said, I have known one of the few individuals for whom hormone therapy ended up changing their lives for the better. this individual was an acquaintance in college well before the term transgender was even coined. this individual always wore long flowing hair, painted his nails, spoke with a high voice, and was a big fan of extremely cutesy and girly media. if his behaviors were sexual in nature, it was not apparent to anyone else on campus. before going on hormone therapy, this individual was fun to hang out with but was always skittish and on edge. after hormone therapy in deciding to call himself a woman, the now she immediately became more relaxed. she was thinking more clearly, doing better in social interactions, and no longer seemed stressed all the time. this individual is still, of course, a man. But slipping into the delusion as a coping mechanism made her life visibly easier. she's also not a cunt about it, and actually respects people who do not want to play along, so I use her preferred pronouns out of respect.
don't get me wrong, I do not think this individual is fully mentally sane and I fear for the damage to her body down the road from the hormone therapy. but I do find her trustworthy and genuine, and that is good enough for me.
