While I don't agree that climate change in its entirety is a 'hoax', this is exactly what I expect. The same people who now shout rather loudly that WE ARE DOOMED, in ten years when it turns out that we are not doomed, will be taking credit for having fixed the 'crisis' that never was. You see, only because of Greta Thunberg's spergery did we avoid catastrophe.
It's interesting that "I care about the environment" nowadays means that you want to put all resources into something that has very little benefit (reducing CO2), while ignoring cleaning rivers or having more nature.
In fact, they're cutting centuries-old forests to burn the trees as "carbon-neutral" energy. That's the "green" movement for you.
There was a poll in Europe that asked people how much they would be willing to give up for 'climate change'. While the vast majority said they were concerned about it, it was something like 10 euros a year. I'd be willing to pay 100 euros or something, but they're robbing us of thousands and spending all our other taxes poorly.
I should have been a bit more clear. I do believe that the climate changing is a thing and that we do have to deal with it. It's the political side of "climate change" that I am calling a hoax.
I see it like some old priest of Zeus telling people that lightning is Zeus being angry and then taking credit when it stops. Lightning/Climate changing is a natural phenomenon that we have to deal with, and though we can affect it somewhat we aren't majorly responsible for it happening.
However we do need to find ways to survive both, in case of lightning we got lightning rods to channel that energy towards the ground leaving most things around it relatively unscathed as an example. Similarly we probably will have to find a way to deal with the heat and possible problems that arise from it (energy consumption, climate controlled fields, etc.) while also taking into account a likely dip in temperatures in the far future.
It's the excessive taxation on and laws to make certain actions mandatory (as well as the media bludgeoning people with it) that I call a hoax.
Not to mention how counterproductive the measures they take are in dealing with the actual problem. Filters and electric cars won't do jack against the heat and if anything will draw power that could be used to cool down people's work places and houses. Not to mention the dumb as fuck green energy initiatives that almost always bite them in the ass or are just a massive waste of space.
