I've been critical of DeSantis, but I will give him credit here; this format really suits him, he's articulate and even somewhat charismatic. Also well prepared, and can say his preplanned remarks without sounding like it's preplanned. Considering he usually has the charisma of a sponge, the change is pretty striking.

I still don't trust the guy, but credit where it's do, it looks like he did very well here.
