To those outside of the U.S. have a great day. To those in the U.S. try to have some fun today. I’m about to go to my parents for a cookout and I’ll do my best to ignore the endless “Why America is so evil” posts and articles. I get the country isn’t what it could be, but I have hope. One of the most interesting 4th holidays I’ve had was when I was in the Air Force and was selected to have lunch with a Vietnam War former POW who was a retired one star. Cool experience.

It's always formulated in such a way to not cast a bad light on the people presently in charge. They love to bash people who, with all their flaws which were fairly universal in their time, made things better, and spare those who actively make things worse.
