Zizek is a literal Maoist. This is quite strange given that he had his Masters Thesis rejected for being 'insufficiently Marxist'.

Despite not being French, Zizek spent a lot of time in the general milieu of French Leftism as a student, and therefore also internalized the ideas of other weirdos such as Freud and Lacan.
