At the rate things are going, people are just going to start saying in larger and larger numbers that, you know, we don't want "democracy," it's not worth it. We don't want "equality" or "diversity." We don't want "tolerance."

That's not how they operate. They are already doing it, but what they're doing is pretending like opposing their totalitarian, anti-democratic rule is what's anti-democratic.
