I tell the people I work with that I'm far right, and I do so proudly. I tell them that conservatism has become progressivism going the speed limit. They usually balk and throw out a bunch of "I bet you believe..." hypotheticals to which I laugh and agree.
The things they think are terrible and offensive are the things I truly believe. Because they're neither terrible, nor offensive to normal people with the ability to reason. Once they realize I'm not joking, they kind of look at me sideways for a while, then things go back to normal.
When people realize they can't shame you for your beliefs, they usually stop trying.
