This is bad either way, but it could have potentially started as as troll, although some of the marchers do join in. If you watch the video, it seems like the chant starts from behind the camera; could have been a legitimate marcher, could have been someone trying to start trouble. It starts as "we're not going shopping," and is then modified into "we're coming for your children." Personally, I lean toward it being legitimate, but could go either way.
That's true, it could be, protestors often just follow the herd without even thinking and that's how January 6th happened, they were waved through by police officers and the stupid retards went along with it. At the same time though, there was that absolutely tone deaf song those gay guys sang awhile back which was literally "We're coming for your children" and it wasn't even subtle.

Oh, absolutely. I'm not saying the sentiment isn't there (it is), just that this wasn't organic, and wasn't as universal as the text alone made it sound. It wasn't the entire chant, it was a small minority of it. Still disgusting, but not quite what the image would have you think.

The difference there is that they were following what they interpreted as orders. there wasn't much choice.
They were being waved through into government property, unless the police were claiming they were under arrest, they had every right to walk away. I'm somebody who does have some RL experience going to protests so I know how to keep my head down, you never follow the heard and keep to the sides if you want to check things out.
Only go through the crowds if you're experienced and can get out of trouble fast when shit goes down. 'Interpreted as orders'? Piss poor excuse, know your rights. Mind you I was one of the few people who was begging inexperienced people not to go to that protest event because even before it happened my instinct was being set off big time.

EDIT: Forgot to include the video.

Rights can be violated, only power matters.
