I always like the assumption that the "script" is wrong simply because it exists, as does "tradition" in any form.

If it isn't fresh, new, and being made up as its spoken then it must be tossed out. You don't need to change yourself to better adapt to the very functional and well tested method, no the method needs to change to suit your whims and inconsistent mindset.

And fuck those kids of course. They need to just suck it up and be carried along while you "Find yourself" and "rewrite the script" and relearn the entire fucking wheel. Their happiness and wellbeing is secondary to your desires.
