I've thought about this a lot. The competence crisis is just starting. I worked in public education until recently. The typical high schooler knows how to do absolutely nothing. They are functionally illiterate and innumerate. The only thing they can do is consume media. And they do it all day, every day.
Yup, just wait until all the competent and older people retire and/or die off. Pretty soon you'll be left with mostly diversity hires and people who only know how to count hormone pils.
