Doesn't that make the disastrous withdrawal even more to blame? Shouldn't the draw down have taken all that into account and made sure they were ready before everyone just left?
Your reasoning doesn't make a lot of sense here, nor does it really help your case of "we shouldn't help the guys who worked directly for us" don't you think those guys might be the ones we would want here? The ones who will be grateful to us instead of the masses of assholes coming through Mexico?
Why should failure be rewarded? The Afghani army had the responsibility to safeguard its territory, and despite an investment of 86 billion, they completely failed in this regard.
As for 'the guys who worked directly' for Western armed forces. They must have done so for a variety of reasons -- nationalism, patriotism or more likely, self-interest. It's unreasonable to assume that 'an American passport' would be part of their compensation, even under the circumstances caused directly by Biden's disastrous withdrawal.

That might have been reasonable, had we succeeded in stabilizing their country.
We didn't, and we shouldn't abandon them.
Do not confuse this with support of open immigration of Afghanis.
