Better use case might be HUD while driving, though if it's capable of blacking out the outside world, might be a risk (Apple software is not bug free!).
There have been cars with integrated HUDs for a while, although it's by no means common, and as you said they don't obstruct your vision since they're just projected on the windshield because they weren't designed by people who have been huffing their own farts for so long they have brain damage from hypoxia.
