I would say to support Pinball FX instead, but after hours of downloading it, it crashed my PC so hard that even Ctrl-Alt-Delete wouldn't work. Had to do a HARD reboot.
Pinball FX is a scam imo, or at a minimum not worth spending money on, any of their recreations can be played with better physics on VPX (entirely free) and their original tables tend to be goofy and midtier.
How are you installing VPX? Through the all-in-one installer on VPForums or some other way? Also, you can’t put it in the program files folder (not entirely sure why I just know that always causes people problems), so just put it in the top level directory of C or D or wherever
Check out Star Trek TNG by Williams (pinball):

After playing for five minutes.
And VPX does the same thing.
This PC does not want me playing pinball.

It's in a folder with all my other emulator folders, why?
Doom is all dark and yellow, too. Source-port Doom.
I’m not entirely sure why, but something about having it in a sub folder messes up permissions and pathways:

Read that for more details or just dragndrop the folder to the top level and try it, chances are that was your problem
