I've noticed they've really been pushing white male/mixed black female these days. Never a fully black female, however. Always mixed or bi-racial.
I wonder why. It appears that it is becoming quite unpopular to showcase white female/black male relationships, as well as Asian female/white male relationships, even though they are far more statistically likely than the reverse pairs.
As a former cameraman, it's way easier to get a lighter skinned black with other character than with a full dark and other characters. I've had shots where the white characters disappear to make the black character seen.
