21 I miss when pink and light blue stood for fun, not degeneracy. In fact, based Chuck Woolery was involved. (media.scored.co) posted 1 year ago by BetterNameUnfound 1 year ago by BetterNameUnfound +21 / -0 8 comments share 8 comments share save hide report block hide replies
The Scrabble game show was fucking great. Ran for six seasons (1984-1990), yet nobody seems to remember it.
Had some of the wittiest writing you'll ever hear, as well.
It's why I was so happy to learn that host Chuck Woolery was on our side--this show was a huge part of my childhood.
Check out an episode on YouTube sometime, since legal limbo has kept it out of reruns anywhere since 1995.
"We'll be back in 2 and 2"
I wish it went back to being colors for announcing newborn children. Now it’s used by grown adults wishing they were children.
No, it just means you bought a cheap-ass Japanese tv and all the green phosphor burned out.
You never saw this show's set, did you?
Besides, my grandmother had a TV where the green died. All that did was make everything darker.
Scrabble had an awesome sound library, yeah.
Especially that unique sound for when the chosen letter slides back and forth, looking for its place in the word.
It's my ringtone. No joke.
