They are of course wholely ignorant that J.R.R. Tolkien's creative imperative was to establish an independently rich mythos for the Anglo-Saxon seperate from the Norman, which he felt historically dominated their cultural/mythological intraoccular. There is no "deserve" in this equation, it belongs to the Saxon and any further production is a non-canonnical parody of the source material.

This is also coming from the people who got offended at mere costumes when it came to their respective cultures - yet they'll desecrate landmarks, destroy statues, rewrite your history book, fuck with your lexicon, negrify every cultural symbol, take credit for every minor accomplishment, and sink their fangs into everything of even passing interest to antagonize what they readily admit they fear most. Identity politics is a war we are losing for refusing to play and the world is uglier for it.
