Old Reddit story: I remember having to argue with a Feminist regarding how "I hate men" is completely okay because, according to her, it was like saying "I hate dogs" because they were bitten by a dog.

My counter was along the lines of: first problem: you're declaring men to be subhuman. You already hate them because you see them as inferior, not because anything happened to you. Second of all: get the fuck over it. It's a personal failure on your part. If you get mugged by a man with a mustache, I can understand that your brain created a fear association to men with mustache, but that's not an excuse to solidify your own personal bigotry based on an arbitrary issue. I understand where you claim your fear comes from (it doesn't), but it's not a good enough excuse.
