This lib worship of human life in the abstract is retarded. Some humans have negative value. Some property has extraordinary positive value. The idea that the worst human life is still somehow more sacred than the most valuable & irreplaceable property isn't serious. It's childish in its refusal to accept reality.
And it's obvious why the libs talk this way: they think it makes them more virtuous. They don't even believe it, either, since if some white MAGA guy burned down a bunch of black people's houses they'd be calling for his execution. Hell, they do that even without the burning of the houses.
Medieval canon law prescribed a penance for killing robbers, because they too are made in the image of god. It never questioned your right to defend yourself and your property though.
I'd take the Sistine Chapel over a career criminal like George Floyd.
The libs would burn down the Sistine Chapel just so they could build a new cathedral to worship Saint Floyd.
If medieval Europe had blacks, methinks the law might have been different.
Medieval Europe was extraordinarily chaotic and probably had higher murder/crime rates than Baltimore, if modern day reconstructions are to be believed (a big if).
Medieval law also stated "more than 30 thieves is an army;" every city in America would qualify as being under warlord occupation.
