If this goes through, Elon musk would have succeeded in killing Twitter.

There is not one scintilla of evidence in the WSJ "news exclusive" that Musk is considering nor appointing this woman. Read it again. They didn't even bother with 'unnamed sources', there is nothing to back it up and they did not offer anything to support this claim.
As both thread titles mention, it's rumored.
