I'm not aware of any law that prevents broadcasters from airing biased news even if they are publicly funded. There's rules about in-kind political contributions but those are enforced by executive agencies and are basically a joke.
There used to be laws that broadcasters (regardless of funding source) had to give "equal time" to major parties, but that would do nothing to stop these ideological cults that have taken over the world.
