As I understood it Invidious is just a front-end and doesn't host any content itself, it still passes requests through that would count for views on the original YouTube video, although looking closer it doesn't use the official API so maybe they do some fudging to foul the tracking. If not, watching on invidious would be no different for their viewership metrics than watching it directly on YouTube with an ad blocker.
