After I caught them recommending the word "wimmin" in place of "women," University of Texas administrators have removed their "Language Matters" guide from the university website.
Unfortunately for them, I've archived the page and will report more next week.
It always interests me what the situations are where people or institutions will retreat from woke excess when exposed. There are so few times when it’s disadvantageous to be as woke as possible, so it’s fascinating when someone runs from it.
Oh, I agree completely. It’s just always fascinating to me to see where the limit is at a given time, and particularly what kind of attention from normal people causes woke believers to backtrack vs what causes them to stand their ground and insist normal people are just unenlightened bigots. It’s a good indicator of where the wider society is on seeing certain woke things as acceptable vs excessive, and it’s also interesting to see some people recognize that.
The page was later taken down. https://twitter.com/realchrisrufo/status/1653532410716524545

Nonono, the Texas woke dictionary page was taken down. No action from twitter.
