Wikipedia was never meant to be a database of lyrics, as that's considered a 'lengthy primary source' and has issues of copyright, besides.
If you want fair use, you'd have to argue for a policy change from the top down and change that policy. Perhaps by arguing that providing lyrics is educational.
This is far too much involvement with Wiki politics for my taste, but if you actually care about this, OP, you'd do be better served doing that, rather than posting L's and trying to raise a personal army here.

Wikipedia deleted article revisions that fell FULLY under fair use law as they were reference related.
