There's basically two different immune systems: nose and throat, and everything else.

For a disease like covid that can infect lots of different tissue an injected vaccine will not stop you from getting nose & throat covid and spreading it. Even if it's the exact same strain vaccinated against.

Everybody in virology knew this from the start.
