I watched this show when it was new, because I am autistic myself and was curious what they'd do with it.
In the first season, they tried making a PEDOPHILE...SYMPATHETIC.
He was all "Please castrate me, I beg you! Before I hurt someone!" and the hospital repeatedly refused to do so.
The episode ended with him deliberately running out into traffic and getting himself run over and killed.
I never watched it again. Pedophiles are not sympathetic. Deal-breaker.
Fuck representation. Some things are more important.
Edit: Yes, they absolutely nailed his autistic quirks--I saw so many of my own in the character. All credit to the actor for pulling that off. But that one episode overrides EVERYTHING ELSE.
