The casting for the Witcher was dogshit except for Cavill & most of the other men. The women were pretty much all trash, though.
The actress pictured here, I forget her name, actually did a great job with what she was given. Its a shame her abilities are being used in a sad bastardization.
She got one good season, one 'meh' season, and now she's going to get a maximally pozzed season that nobody will even watch because Cavill did the sensible thing and bailed so that they couldn't make an embarrassment out of him on screen.
The actress sucks & she's ugly. Fans wanted something approximating video game Yennefer. Not this.
On technical level, as an actor? She really doesn't. At all. Quite the opposite, honestly. Her performance is one of the most believable in the show, which is quite an achievement considering she's playing as someone who can shoot fireballs out of her hands.
The problems that make her 'not the Yennefer the fans wanted' are not problems with her skills.
They are problems with the producers.
Yeah, she's a half british/indian playing a woman you to be expected a full blooded European, or someone who looks like one, but thats not a skill issue to blame on her. She's just someone trying to have an acting career.
She doesn't suck. She deserves better than playing raceswaps that nobody wants.
I saw absolutely nothing from her at any point in the show that impressed me or caused me to respect her skill as an actress. You keep insisting that she's "oh so good" but I disagree.
There were plenty of scenes where she was annoying, though.
The whole thing of her selling Ciri out to the witch to get her powers back was poorly acted, start to finish. The writing was lame but her performance in terms of making any of it believable was also poor.
Go ahead and provide your evidence for scenes where she supposedly blew you away with her acting skills.
