I'm not demoralizing, I'm setting expectations in the hopes of redirecting effort from battlefields that are already lost (national elections) to winning frontiers (local races, decentralization, and secession).
The best way to get a national divorce is to win in 2024 with a crushing victory from Ron DeSantis, then cause the libs to seethe & initiate the divorce from their side over the following 8 years.
Odds are, though, the Democrats will do what they've always done and moderate themselves in order to win elections again.
I'm fine with a national divorce. I'd be fine with the liberal Northeast being booted the fuck out so the remainder would be a Republican lock & under total right wing policy control. We would easily leave the Blues in the dust with superior policies & make up the difference in national strength.
Also there is no way to win local races if you can't win national. The election apparatus is all the same.
DeSantis? That guy that flip flops in interviews depending on who is interviewing him? The guy who is primarily funded and supported by the Bush family? You think we should rally around that without even a second thought?

Democracy is fake and gay.
