Well, y'know, Houston isn't really much of a sports town, and Texas in particular just doesn't watch a lot of sports. Or Basketball.
They only have multiple professional teams in all the major leagues and everything. Pretty small time. Not like New York where they have two teams in the same city for multiple pro leagues. The Mavs, Rockets, and Spurs all struggle for viewership and can't attract the superstars and have barely won any championships since the mid '90s. What, like 8 in the last 30 years?
Can hardly blame them for going bust in a tough market.
