I think the argument that things you think in your head directly correlate to things you want or desire to do in real life is beyond silly. I've jerked it to lesbians/3-somes, but I'd never want to deal with more than 1 woman at a time in real life. I could entertain plenty of other fetishes like anal, but not want to partake in it in real-life.
That's where I disagree. Steampunk_moustache made an excellent comment about how you can make the fictional depiction attractive while the real world thing remains unattractive. Just because you watch porn with fat or ugly women doesn't mean you'd want to date them. The more stylised the depiction, the easier it is to disassociate it with the real world thing it represents.
