it's creepy how many replies I'm getting from people ITT trying to defend lolicons.
I'm not trying to 'defend lolicons', I'm trying to defend reality. You have an opinion that I am 100% certain is simply at odds with the objective reality of the situation. I vociferously attack all objectively wrong opinions regardless of what side of current politics they appear on, because I prize objectivity.
How the fuck would you know? Are you a lolicon? Do you have lots of lolicon friends?
I know because I am an erotic artist. I don't produce lolicon - far from it - but I do draw things things that don't really resemble anything real. I draw them in a way that is beyond reality, and I venture into finding shapes that makes people's brains light up. I am essentially producing visual patterns that don't exist in nature, and short-circuit brains that have evolved in nature. I'm hacking the brain.
It is to be completely expected, then, that the images I produce will generate feelings of attraction where a real life approximation of the subject would not. One such case is fat women. You can draw fat women so beautiful - it's easy. The brain loves big, bouncy round shapes. She can have flawless skin, her rolls (if there are any) can be golden ratio'd in their distribution, she can have a skinny neck an firm under-arms, her facial structure need not be buried under blubber, her ankles need not be cankles, her thighs can be massive and yet not deform or overhang her knees. I can draw a 450lb blob and make her look good. Reality can't do that.
I saw a nude photograph of Lizzo this week, and she looked repulsive. I could draw a cartoon of her and make her beautiful, but guess what? It wouldn't be her no matter how much I said it was, and any boner generated by it would be unlikely to equate to a boner for the flesh and blood bridge troll that is Lizzo.
You've described something in great detail that I've struggled for a long time to convey. Bravo. People need to stop virtue signaling over drawings and focus on shit that causes actual harm.
It's a tough subject to understand unless you start learning to draw it yourself, or least start analyzing what features make stylized characters 'attractive' or 'unattractive'. But just purely analyzing, you will run into your own biases. Only by sincerely trying to draw stylized characters that crowds of people find attractive yourself will you really learn the myriad ways you can utterly fail, and only then will you begin to get sense of what's really going on.
Most people would find it close to impossible to put into words any explanation of why one stylized character design tickle's people pickles and another does not.
Your argument just got systematically torn limb from limb and that is your response? Someone is acting like a redditor here and it isnt the dude you're replying to.

I've turned a fun hobby into a source of income. Oh my, so irrational!
