What happened with Tom Paris? I heard that nu Trek has to be like 25% different. With the Star Wars EU I would rather them just not mine the EU for content but it looks like they are going to bastardize it.
Long story short was they introduced tom Paris under a different name with the same actor in tng, only to change the name and tweak the backstory so they didnt have to pay the writer of the episode for the idea.
Oh yea! Now I know who that is
