I don’t want to rehash what happened next: loathsome right-wing men, mostly white, profanely criticizing Reese; Reese standing up for herself with raw, explicitly anti-racist confidence; more rage then ensuing because she refused to buckle; Jill Biden’s tin ear when she initially broke tradition by inviting both teams to the White House, something that might have offended Iowa more than LSU; more rage, more hot air; and in what felt like a coordinated effort from the most wretched corners of the sports commentariat, people who two weeks ago did not know who Clark was rushing to her defense and attempting to turn her into their latest fragile white martyr—a casualty of the confidence of a Black woman, a confidence that they wanted to break.
Oh man this is like fan fiction for low IQ race retards.
Yea that seems like standard university learned tripe. But if I recall weren’t people on the left the ones attacking the trash talk? I could swear I heard Keith Olbermann was saying something.
Of course. I honestly don’t know why this story got so much traction. Trash talk is very common. Caitlin Clark had no problem with the trash talk but if a white and black person have a conversation it’s always racist. Although from hearing Angel Reese she definitely sounds like someone who has been raised to believe an evil white male is around every corner just waiting to stop her from succeeding in life.
To think there was a time where I DVRd multiple ESPN shows every week and that all ended when Around the Horn went on a rant about kids in cages. I’m convinced that sports writers are similar to modern day gaming journalists. They are mad they didn’t get the job at the Times so they need to inject political crap into everything.
I commend you for reading these articles without drinking heavily.
