I'm not going to feel bad about liking easy games because some guy was depressed and a hard video game made him feel better. Not everyone measures up their self worth on a scale of how much they excel at an entertainment product.
You dont have to feel bad about liking easy games. But at the same time harder games should be allowed to exist without the wokes always demanding they be made easy
That’s fair. I don’t care if they keep being made and liked. I always get grumpy with Dark Souls because back when I was still a Reddit user years ago that game’s fanboy sect was such an annoyance.
They do have one point though, Dark Souls would be like watching paint dry with an average easy mode. That’s what most games fail at with their difficulty settings, either an easy mode breaks it so bad it’s boring or a hard mode is unfair for masochists. Dark Souls difficulty at least sort of sits in the middle.
I just want games to be made as envisioned without interference from anyone.
It's why it's so frustrating Sony blocks a lot of the Japanese games than embracing them like they used to. Asian difficulty is DEFINITELY a thing...
Can't say I'm the same though, sure there's games I can get a sense of achievement beating but depression wise, I can get better more from a change of environment, both physical and virtual in some respects as just walking around something like Skyrim can be a good breather.
