Because these people are delusional. Their ideologies really aren't even communism. It's a weird futurist utopia they want but don't know how to achieve. They've literally been trained from video games that have a "hub world" where nothing bad happens into thinking that is how society should function, a fairy tale.

They want to be video game heroes and kill the big bad corrupt system and afterwards there will be a no-work utopia where everything just magically gets provided by future robots or something while they get to jerk off and play games endlessly and be hailed a hero for their part in the uprising.
