He was pretty blatantly partisan almost from day 1. He tried to do an interview with Brianna Wu and wasn't sufficiently deferential to her lunacy and was quickly mobbed by anti-GG, followed by an incredulous defense of "but I'm one of the good guys!" and throwing #GG under the bus.

I can't think of specifics off the top of my head, but any time I've seen him come up since then has been because he's blatantly lying about objectively provable facts or putting out hateful rhetoric like his most recent tweet scandal. Usually he suffers no consequences for it though.
