Good grief. If FIFA had any guts they would explain why they don’t just make a strictly women’s soccer game. Be grateful you get paid to be in a game where there is no demand.
Female athletes have two routes to make money, onlyfans/ instagram model or bitchy lesbian demanding equity. its funny because they can’t actually make money off being athletic.
And there are athletic females but it just doesn’t draw the same interest. Granted in my younger years I enjoyed women’s college volleyball. My older sister played volleyball so as a 12 year old I was happy to go to her games and watch her teammates.
Seriously though, wouldn’t the WNBA crash if it wasn’t for the NBA?
The WNBA has lost, on average, $10 million a year since its inception. For the 21/22 season they lost something like $20 million while the NBA brought in about $10 billion.
You can't even buy the broadcast rights to the WNBA, when you buy the rights to the NBA you get the WNBA as a free addition. Both the Oxygen Network and the Oprah Winfrey Network dropped the WNBA broadcast license the minute they were able.
The number one demographic for attending WNBA games is >35 year old men with their <18 daughters. Strangely when those girls grow up they would prefer to watch the NBA over the WNBA.
The WNBA is a charity service, without the NBA it wouldn't exist. Listening to the WNBA players complain about the 'pay gap' is laughable. They should be thankful to have a job.
