Yeah, as a general rule if you want to know what a politician is going to do with power you vote them into, you ignore every word out of their mouth and look at what they've actually done with power in the past.
Trump's presidency was pathetic and feeble, he pussied out and compromised on things there should be no compromise on (electoral fraud, medical autonomy), flapped his hands and did nothing concrete on many urgent issues, (educational brainwashing, parental rights and a corrupt, biased judicial system, deadly political violence against his voter base) and repeatedly delegated power to whichever backstabbing rats flattered him the most. Talking tough and starting verbal shit on twitter is good enough when you're working from the outside, but once you're elected if you're still focusing on bitching to the electorate on social media instead of utilizing all the levers of real power now available to you, then you're either a retard or a charlatan.
My take is the man has proven to be a whipped pussy who would happily throw his supporters in front of bullets, but runs like a little bitch if the deep state hinted at personal consequences for himself. They tolerated him talking shit on twitter to keep his base from getting wild, but either he never meant a word he said, he was too pussy to even try making decisive executive action, or he tried and folded like a bitch in the behind-closed-doors stage when the real threats came. Because he only did something to back up his talk a small handful of times in 4 years.
DeSantis, whatever neocon associations he has and questionable statements he has made, has already done things on a state level what trump should have done on a federal level. If DeSantis simply repeated what he has done with the Florida education system in removing antagonistic administrators and dismantling their perverse brainwashing systems, that alone would be a definite improvement on Trump's entire presidency.
