It is not that those traits are detrimental, it is that those traits are independent of any assessment.

What do I want in a woman? A heart, a brain, two lungs, two kidneys, a liver...

That's the joke. Men have no standards as it comes to sexual value. That's why you see those Lewinskis and Rials and Heards nabbing AAA-class men. Men have preferences, sure, but not standards.
