I'm willing to guess that a not insubstantial number of people still believes that way more people would have died if there hadn't been a lockdown.
Hell, I know a lot of people that believe our lockdowns saved people. We had one of the most draconian lockdown-regimes of the planet and our numbers aren't any better than anywhere else (well, except for the money spent to keep the people happy while locked down. The 'state' payed the fucking wage of people that were forbidden to work)
