The thing is, communism actually works. For villages of, what, 100 people?
Every implementation that does not start this way seems to work towards "village of 100 people" either by killing the population suffering under it in job lots or by the simple expedient of treating most of the population as cattle rather than people.
Remember, there is no problem a progressive cannot solve by killing people until the problem goes away!

Also, this speaks to my point on reality versus utopia. The progressives keep trying things that don't work, instead of things that could.
